Our story

Two friends from the Bronx, and one very good pair of trousers.

Built on a shared appreciation for culture, craftsmanship, and timeless style, the brand reinterprets classic silhouettes through a modern lens.

Rooted in the energy and diversity of NYC, Once in a Blue approaches design with intention, prioritizing thoughtful construction, premium materials, and versatile pieces that move effortlessly through everyday life.

The name

Once in a Blue.

At its core, Once in a Blue represents the idea that exceptional pieces don’t come around often, but when they do, they’re worth holding onto.

For years we only saw each other once a year, and every time, we had both leveled up. We called it once in a blue.

Made in Italy

Our factory

Every pair is cut and sewn by hand at a family factory on the coast of southern Italy. It took five rounds of samples over 17 months, and a lot of translating, to get the fit right. This October we finally visited in person. They're family now.

Made for the everyday, and everything after.

The commute, the office, dinner with friends, a first date. One pair of Italian wool trousers that keeps up with New York.
